Project Details
La Belle Bistro was designed as an all-day restaurant with a small footprint and a busy service model. The owners wanted an interior that could feel relaxed at lunch, more intimate in the evening, and remain straightforward for staff to operate when the room was full.
What needed solving
Existing circulation cut through guest seating, making service feel disruptive. There was also little flexibility for different party sizes, and the finish palette needed to stand up to regular cleaning and high footfall without losing warmth.
Design approach
We planned the seating around clear routes to the kitchen and bar, using banquettes to make the perimeter work harder. Warm plaster, timber, and low-level lighting set the tone, while moveable tables allow the room to adapt between couples, groups, and private bookings.
Banquettes increase covers without squeezing the main aisle.
Dimmable lighting shifts the mood between day and evening service.
Commercial-grade upholstery and flooring simplify maintenance.
